Meet Ellen-Rose

Meet our newest team member, Ellen-Rose. With a background in floristry, Ellen-Rose has taken the leap into interiors with the team at Redmonds.

Ellen-Rose's transition from floristry to interior design might seem like a leap from one creative field to another, but as she shared the change was not as straight-forward. "It was tricky," she admitted. "There's a lot more math and project details to take into account." The switch required her to adapt and learn new skills, making it a transformational experience both personally and professionally.

While the shift from floristry to interior design brought about unique challenges, Ellen-Rose found that some lessons from her past job were invaluable in her new role. One such lesson was customer interaction. "Understanding customers has been a great skill bring from my last role," she noted. Her experience in catering to clients' preferences and understanding their needs helped her navigate the client-centred nature of interior design seamlessly. "Everyone has their different colour preferences. Some people only want white and neutrals, while others want to go bold" she added, highlighting the importance of tailoring her designs to individual tastes.

As Ellen-Rose continues to explore her new career path, she is excited about the prospects ahead. During the conversation, she expressed enthusiasm for diving deeper into patterned fabrics and unique materials that add character to interior spaces. "I'm excited about using more patterned fabrics," she shared. Her passion for incorporating captivating patterns and textures into her designs reflects her dedication to creating visually engaging and personalised spaces for her clients.

“I love this Blush colourway in the Peonia pattern. It’s subtle but still brings a beautiful pattern to a room. I also love the bee detail.”
